Questions that should be asked when buying a 'Glamping' Unit
1 Is there any end grain of the exterior wood showing, and if so, is it sealed?
2 If there are shingles fitted, are they sealed to a facia to stop 'wind lift'?
3 Is the floor sealed? Floorboarding lets in sheep-muck and dirt, and will expand/contract.
4 Are there any breakable fittings inside? You may have 800+ customers in your unit per season.
5 Can kids get splinters from the exterior wood finish?
6 Can you contact existing site owners for performance references?
7 Does the wiring come with a certificate?
8 Is the wiring inside conduit pipe and have safety breakers?
9 Is there a hard-wired smoke alarm and heater fitted as standard?
10 Is there plenty of storage space inside the unit?
11 Are the doors a quality double glazed, as wooden doors may expand/contract over time?
12 Is there plenty of sockets for your phones, laptop etc?
13 Are there enough lights in the unit?
